Serious injuries reported after a hit and run in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – Serious injuries were reported after a hit-and-run in Hartford on Thursday evening.

Officials say that at approximately 5:59 p.m., units responded to the area of 180 Franklin Avenue for a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

Units arriving on scene found an adult male who had been hit by a vehicle. After the incident, the vehicle left the scene.

The man with serious injuries was transported to hospital.

The investigation is active.
