Khammam: The suicide of a woman, who allegedly hanged her two daughters and then took her own life at Nidhanapuram in Madhira mandal in the district on Thursday, has been attributed to the arrest of her husband by the police.

Before hanging herself, Preja (35) allegedly hanged her children Mehaka (6) and Menurul (7) in her house.

According to family members, some police personnel reached their house in the morning and took away the woman’s husband, Shaik Bhaji, in a car.

However, the family members did not know the police officers or from which police station they came to pick up the man.

Soon after the police left the spot, Preja decided to take an extreme step. It turned out that she was also called to the police station.

Meanwhile, the local police also did not know from which police station or district police Bhaji was arrested.

They deny any knowledge of the case for which he was also arrested. Preja, a Hindu, married Bhaji a few years ago in an inter-religious marriage. The man works as a laborer.
