A Mason woman was seriously injured in a crash on Cedar Street

MASON – A 66-year-old Mason woman was seriously injured after her vehicle was rear-ended Thursday evening on Cedar Street. The police are looking for the driver who hit her.

The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office said the woman was driving south on Cedar Street, near College Road, on the edge of Alaiedon Township, around 8 p.m., when her vehicle was rear-ended.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene and an ambulance transported the woman in critical condition to a local hospital, deputies said.

“The vehicle that rear-ended her left the scene and has not been located,” deputies said.

Police suspect a blue Ford SUV hit the woman’s vehicle before it drove away and said the front of the suspect’s vehicle should have been damaged.

Anyone with information about the vehicle that left the scene should call the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office at 517-676-8202.
