The student dies in a bizarre accident

The tragedy hit the Krugersdorp High Student Retshegofese Sennelo family after he died after a strange case in the school match cricket at the weekend.

In a post on social media, the school said that the teenager was seriously wounded when he collided with a teammate at Christian Brothers’ College in Boxburg on Saturday.

Director Ivan Bailey said that the paramedics were immediately in place, and RetShegotese was taken to Netcare Sunward Park.

He said that the second player was taken to the hospital in Krugersdorp, under the care of his parents and later released.

Bailey added: “After undergoing an emergency surgery in Sunward Park, surgeons could not stop internal bleeding, and RetShegofesse died in the theater.

“Our deepest condolences go to Olga Sennelo, our chairman of the SGB, Gomolemo, his brother, all family members and KHS staff who were in the hospital with me.

“Our prayers go to their beloved colleagues and coaches of the team RetSheguses, Sandile and Nene, who will need our unambiguous support with their friends at school.”
