Brian Groo arrested: Horsham man filmed sexual assault of 10-month-old baby, circulated video: DA

HORSHAM, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — A Horsham, Montgomery County man is accused of raping a 10-month-old baby and then distributing video of the attack.

Police arrested 24-year-old Brian Groo on Wednesday after receiving a cyberattack from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The agency said a video showing the sexual abuse of a little boy was uploaded on the messaging platform “Kik”.

Investigators said Thursday they traced the username “Zenshadowsol” and IP address to Groo’s home, where they found a hidden cellphone with materials allegedly linked to the cybercriminal.

It was established that the video recording of the boy shows a 10-month-old child to which the accused had access, investigators said.

According to police, Groo received a message from a woman who sent him a video of a child being sexually abused. Groo then sent her his video.

There is no information whether this woman has been identified.

Authorities said Groo is a registered sex offender who pleaded guilty in 2019 to child pornography charges.

Groo is charged with rape of a child, involuntary deviation from sexual intercourse, sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, endangering the welfare of children, photographing/filming/depicting on a computer a sexual act of a child, dissemination of photos/video of sexual acts of a child and other charges .

He is in custody on $2 million bail.
