A woman allegedly bit a Shreveport officer during an investigation

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Shreveport Police received a report of a vehicle burglary on Friday, November 1st.

The incident occurred at 5727 Financial Plaza.

Officers say that during the investigation, 36-year-old Tynishia Lewis became aggressive and bit the officer on the forearm with enough force to cut the skin. The officer was treated at a local hospital and is expected to recover.

Lewis was arrested and charged with battery on an officer, second-degree battery, drug possession and two counts of resisting with force or violence.
