Man arrested on attempted kidnapping charges near Mountain Range High School

The 31-year-old man allegedly tried kidnap a student walking near Mountain Range High School According to the Westminster Police Department, he was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, kidnapping and attempted kidnapping.

Police began an investigation after a girl walking to school near West 125th Avenue and Delaware Street on the morning of Oct. 25 reported that a man in a silver vehicle approached her, threatened her with a gun and told her to get inside.

According to police officers, the girl refused and the man grabbed her backpack and ran away.

Investigators identified Jeremiah Mullins as the suspect and arrested him several hours later at 12000 North Melody Drive. Westminster police said in a news release Friday.
