LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Officials say two Los Angeles Police officers were injured in a shooting that broke out in South Los Angeles on Friday evening.

The shooting occurred near the intersection of 92nd Street and Central Avenue around 9 p.m

Further details of the shooting were not immediately available, but officials say the officers may have suffered abrasion or bullet impact wounds.

Police initially received a report of an armed robbery. According to the police, shots were fired upon arrival.

The suspect remains unaccounted for.
