Greater Noida: A woman died when a 17-year-old hit her with an SUV

A woman died while she was walking on the roadside after a speeding SUV, allegedly driven by a 17-year-old, lost control and hit her in Greater Noida.

The incident took place near the CRC apartment complex in Greater Noida on Thursday and was captured on a CCTV camera. The victim was identified as Shilpi, 27, hailing from Jatpura village in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh and currently residing in Bisrakh, Greater Noida.

In the video, Shilpi can be seen walking on the side of the road when the SUV allegedly driven by the teenager lost control and hit her. The accused teenager then fled the scene.

The police registered a case and Shilpi’s body was sent for post-mortem. They also started searching for the accused.

After an investigation, police determined that the car was driven by a 17-year-old boy. The teenager was detained and is being interrogated. Police said that appropriate action will be taken against him after the investigation is completed.
