Four girls suffer ‘life-changing injuries’ in the bathroom of a Brighton fast food restaurant | UK news

Four girls suffered serious burns in the bathroom of a fast food restaurant in Brighton.

Emergency services were called at 8:28 p.m. on Thursday, which was also Halloween, after receiving reports of a fire at the Wendy’s restaurant on Western Road. Brighton.

Four 12-year-old girls suffered “potentially life-changing” injuries and were taken to hospital, according to Sussex Police.

Their condition is serious but stable.

Sussex Police and Fire and Rescue Service are still investigating the cause of the incident but say there were no fireworks.

According to the fire brigade and emergency medical services, the incident was accidental and no bystanders were in danger.

Three fire trucks, flying equipment and specialist officers participated in the action.

Police said they would not release more information for now because they are “sensitive to the injuries to those involved.”
