Two pedestrians were hit in the accident

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Two people are in the hospital after being hit by a car overnight.

Police say two people were crossing 39th Street around 2 a.m. when a blue Honda Accord was traveling west on 39th Street approaching Pennsylvania with green lights.

The pedestrians walked directly into the path of the Honda and were hit. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

Police say the driver showed no signs of intoxication.
Police say two pedestrians were taken to hospital.

One is in critical condition, the other in serious condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
