Assault on a male disturbing the peace in Stanley Road, Swanscombe

The police are appealing for witnesses to the riots during which a man was attacked.

Officers were called just before 5pm on Friday following reports of trouble involving a group of people in Stanley Road, Swanscombe.

A police spokesman said: “Officers attended and spoke to those present. The report showed that there was damage to property and the man was attacked by men he knew.”

A temporary road closure, put in place while an initial investigation took place, was lifted later that evening and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
