Engagement ratings

As part of Elon Musk’s bid to get votes for Donald Trump, his political action committee (PAC) paid employees to canvass for the candidate, but were allegedly threatened if they did not meet required standards.

IN videos obtained by WireMichigan canvassers hired by Musk’s America PAC were seen riding in the back of a U-Haul van and the driver told them that if they didn’t attract enough Trump voters, they wouldn’t pay for the motel.

Worse still, one of the people the magazine spoke to didn’t even know that when they signed with Blitz Canvassing, the company had them knock on doors that they would be working for Musk and Trump.

In accordance with the contracts signed by the salespeople, which were also checked by Wire“Employees were expected to maintain an engagement rate of 17-22 percent during the campaign.”

Translation: They were supposed to not only get nearly a quarter of people to answer the door when they knocked, but also to get that many people to commit to voting for Trump. In a battleground state like Michigan, that’s a near-impossible margin to clear – but if it couldn’t be achieved, canvassers were allegedly punished.

“What will happen is that they will stop paying for these rooms” – in the recordings made available Wirewhich the website has not published. “And then you’ll have to pay for it yourself. You can’t do it without money.”

Bottom line

Ironically, it appears that the Michigan acquisition operation has its own operational problems.

As some paid door knockers have said Wire, none of their group had a valid driving license. When it came time to drive through the neighborhoods, the organizers didn’t know what to do. They initially began transporting people with Uber to neighboring neighborhoods before settling on the solution seen in the video: transporting them in the back of U-Haul vehicles, where they were forced to drive on suburban Michigan roads without seat belts.

“We were all told that our transportation would be organized and that we would be in rental cars,” one salesman told the magazine. “It turned out to be U-Haul delivery trucks, so I felt embarrassed and had some fun.”

Neither Musk, America PAC, nor Blitz Canvassing responded Wirerequests for comment. How Federal Election Commission disclosures demonstrate thisHowever, the company performing the acquisition received over $9 million for its services.

Even for alleged poor working conditions Muska AND TrumpFor the companies, this seems unthinkable, but for the people who support both tycoons, it is very unlikely that it will matter.
