AG, DCI investigates shooting of Rapid City officer

SIOUX FALLS, SD (Dakota News Now) – South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley said the Division of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred Friday in Rapid City.

The suspect involved in the shooting is dead and no other law enforcement officers were injured.

Once the investigation is complete, the DCI will release a summary of the shooting.

This is the fourth officer-involved shooting in South Dakota in 2024.
