Policeman dies by suicide in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: Yadadri traffic police constable Kankuri Ravishanker, 42, died by suicide at his residence in Nalgonda on Saturday.

In a copy of the complaint filed with the Nalgonda II city police, his mother Venkatamma said Ravishanker had been on leave since October 30. At 3 p.m. he went to his bedroom, saying he was tired and needed to rest, and then locked the door.

When he didn’t come out after several hours, his family members forced open the door and found his body. She suspected that Ravishankar may have committed suicide due to financial problems.

The Nalgonda II city police filed a case and initiated an investigation.
