The former face of Blain’s Farm & Fleet commercials is back for her birthday

LOVES PARK, Ill. (WIFR) – For less than two decades, Steve Humphreys has been a regular in Blain’s Farm and Fleet commercials, and the former face of the store has moved to Texas, but his children are giving him a reason to come home.

He recently turned 70, so his children surprised him with a birthday party at Loves Park City Hall, and Steve had the opportunity to reunite with old friends and reminisce about his time at Farm & Fleet.

A producer at a store saw him in a play and asked him to do a commercial. Steve says he was told he would never do commercials for them again because Farm & Fleet didn’t want anyone to be the face of the series, but they called him anyway and he would be a regular for almost 20 years.

“I did commercials for them for 17-19 years. Great group. Great people,” says Humphreys. “I saw a lot of family members, people we went to church with, people we went to the Starlight Theater with, and a lot of old school friends. It’s truly touching to know that people at least think of you enough to visit you.”
