Papon’s personal assistant among two arrested in Dhaka

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) yesterday (November 2) arrested two persons, including Sakhawat Hossain Molla, personal assistant to former Youth and Sports Minister and former BCB chairman Nazmul Hasan Papon, in the capital’s Dhanmondi district.

The second person arrested is Abdul Hekim Raihan, chairman of the League of Bhairab upazila Swechchhasebak.

RAB’s director of law and media, Lt. Col. Munim Ferdous, said they were arrested in a case filed in connection with the attack on protesters in Lakshmipur area of ​​Bhairab upazila of Kishoreganj during the July 19 student movement.

Mamun Mia, Rubel Mia and Alam Sarkar later filed three separate cases in connection with the incident at Bhairab police station.
