US sends warships as Iran prepares for new Israeli attack on ‘multiple fronts’

The deployment comes on the eve of the US elections and there is speculation that an Iranian attack could occur before or after the elections.

Earlier this month, the United States sent its THAAD air defense system along with 100 troops to Israel, expecting heavy retaliation for Iran’s four-hour bombing of Israel.

Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder said at the time: “This action underscores the United States’ ironclad commitment to defend Israel and defend Americans in Israel against any further missile attacks by Iran.”
