East Mississippi Community College students honor veterans on campus

SCOOBA, Miss. (WTOK) – On Monday, EMCC celebrated its 30th annual Veterans Day observance.

Even though Veterans Day is next week, they brought veterans, students and the community together to honor those who served.

During the ceremony, EMCC expressed gratitude through songs, speeches and prayer.

Those who were asked to speak had the honor of standing and showing gratitude to the veterans who served.

On November 11, the Student Government Association on the Golden Triangle campus will host the “Proud to be an American” event.
