Two charged after Jersey Shore brawl | News, sports, work

Lannette Kae Garms, 51, of 286 Hill St., Jersey Shore, was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment after causing a scene at The American Legion, 320 Seminary St., 31 Jersey Shore. August, Lycoming Regional Police say in an affidavit.

Authorities said that when Garms was sent to the scene of the ongoing fight, he pushed multiple people and shouted and screamed.

The incident began as a verbal altercation between Garms and another person and then turned physical when the manager told her to leave, after which she allegedly punched and pulled the manager’s hair, witnesses told police.

Court documents say Garms was allegedly belligerent and argued with officers, who responded by shoving and attempting to punch them.

She was arraigned by District Judge Denise Dieter, waived her preliminary hearing and was released on $2,500 bail.

Also charged in connection with this incident is John Charles Stewart, 34, of 324 Clinton St., Avis, who allegedly repeatedly punched a person in the face with a closed fist while trying to break up a fight and then continued the attack after the person fell to the ground. basics – according to court documents.

The affidavit says Stewart bit another witness who tried to intervene.

Dieter arraigned Stewart on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, waived his preliminary hearing and was released on $25,000 bail.

Additionally, Garms was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license in a separate incident after police allegedly observed her driving a 2013 Dodge Ram registered to another person on October 16.

Due to the pair’s alleged drug activity, police requested and obtained consent to search the vehicle, during which a glass pipe containing methamphetamine was discovered.

Garms was indicted on the new charges by Dieter.
