On November 21, a 34-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of Cooper Hospital in Vile Parle.

According to the Juhu police, preliminary investigation revealed that she was suffering from liver disease and was concerned about her condition, which may have prompted her to take such a drastic step. Khan was admitted to hospital three days ago for liver treatment. She was lying in the women’s ward, on bed no. 51. In the ward, she was accompanied by her 16-year-old daughter, who did not sleep until about 4:30. According to reports, Khan woke up around 5 am and jumped out of the window.

The hospital security guard immediately notified the administration, which then informed the police. Juhu police reached the hospital, conducted necessary procedures and handed over the body to the family.
