Real Housewives of Potomac star Matthew Byars died at the age of 37.

The talent manager, who debuted on the Bravo series’ third season as Karen Huger’s friend, died on November 21, according to the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Matthew’s cause of death was ruled a suicide. A spokesman told the US Sun: “He died from multiple blunt force injuries. It’s suicide.”

An autopsy report was also prepared.

Tributes poured in, with Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga writing an emotional message on Instagram.

She wrote: “Matt – Why didn’t you tell me Matt? I’m devastated.

“Your personality was contagious. Your jokes – you always had them. You should have stood up – I know it was your dream. Matt, my heart hurts. Because earlier this week you didn’t tell me.”

She continued, “I know life has been hard – I know – Thank you for giving me my first ON DISPLAY performance – you and me – WE ARE LOYAL.

“It doesn’t make them like us. I wish I could have saved you. Thank you for the memories. Fly – and make them laugh.”

Melissa Gorga paid an emotional tribute to Matthew

Real Housewives of Potomac star Charrisse Jackson-Jordan also paid tribute to Matthew, sharing a photo of the two on a rooftop, which she captioned: “Rest in peace.”

Matthew was introduced to viewers by Karen during her infamous “press conference,” where she addressed rumors about her financial situation.

Karen has known Matthew since he was a teenager and revealed how they met during a 2019 interview Everyday outing.

“I’ve known Matt since he was about 17, 18 years old. I support Matt when life is difficult. “A lot of people in Potomac call me ‘Mama Karen’ because I love helping young people,” she said.
