2 dead after overnight shooting: Phoenix police

PHOENIX – Phoenix police say they are investigating a shooting that left two people dead at a West Phoenix home.

According to the findings, the incident occurred in the area of ​​ul 67th Avenue and Highland. Officers were called to the scene around 3:20 a.m. in reference to a shooting, and when they arrived, they found two men with at least one gunshot wound each.

“Both men did not survive their injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene,” the statement reads.

Police did not release the names of the two victims. They also say that as a result of the investigation, the area where the shooting occurred will be closed for an extended period.
