Two people were arrested in connection with the October shooting on W. Short Street

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Lexington Police Department says two people have been arrested in connection with a shooting on West Short Street in October that left one woman injured.

According to police, 32-year-old Vandale Taylor was arrested on November 20 and charged with five counts: first-degree wanton endangerment and fourth-degree assault (minor injury).

Additionally, 35-year-old Andre Franklin was arrested on December 2 and charged with five counts: first-degree wanton endangerment and fourth-degree assault (minor injury).

On October 12 at approximately 12:15 p.m., police responded to shots fired in the 300 block of West Short Street. While the officers were on site, a woman called and reported that she had been injured as a result of the incident.

Police said the woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
