Teen injured in shooting in south Omaha

Police continue to investigate the shooting caused injuries to a 17-year-old boy on Saturday.

The incident occurred near 27th St. and Woolworth Ave. just before 5 p.m

Officers who arrived at the scene found a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound. A witness told police the shooting resulted from an argument with the victim and three suspects.

Two suspects fled on foot, while the third drove away in a white car.

Motorcyclist killed in crash on I-80

Omaha man dead after… motorcyclist accident on interstate 80 on Friday.

OPD identified Timothy Peterson, 47, as the victim of the crash.

Officers arrived on scene around 1:30 p.m. on I-80 near 60th St.

Investigators determined that the motorcycle driven by Peterson went off to the right and struck a concrete culvert near the westbound I-80 exit.

According to OPD, Peterson died at the scene.

The Omaha Streetcar Authority will meet on Monday

The Omaha Streetcar Authority will reconvene on Monday for its last monthly meeting of the series in 2024.

The agenda included voting for the adoption of the proposed budget for 2025 in the amount of over USD 135 million.

The meeting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Omaha Douglas Civic Center Legislative Chambers.

The Omaha City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday to determine its position Tram Operations Manager.

The City of Omaha provides updates on subway construction projects

The I-480 northbound ramp on Leavenworth Street is scheduled to reopen after closing over the weekend.

According to the city of Omaha, the ramp will be open starting at 6 a.m. Monday. The closure was due to the work of the road surface renovation team.

Starting Monday, a lane closure will be in place at the intersection of 20th and Harney streets for two weeks. This project is associated with work with the tram.

The report shows weekly gas prices in the Omaha metro

Average gas prices in Omaha increased by 9.6 cents per gallon last week.

AND GazBuddy The price report shows that as of Monday, the average price of gasoline is $2.59 per gallon. They consistently check 300 metro stations.

“Prices in Omaha are 6.0 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and 20.4 cents per gallon lower than a year ago,” GasBuddy says.

According to GasBuddy, the national average gas price dropped 3.1 cents per gallon last week, averaging $2.97 per gallon.

Huskers football, volleyball promotion

There is football in Nebraska We went to Yankee Stadium for the game at Boston College on December 28.

After much speculation about which bowl they would play in, the Huskers were selected to the Pinstripe Bowl.

This game will be the first-ever meeting between the Huskers and Eagles.

Meanwhile, Nebraska volleyball is here moving on to the Sweet Sixteen after the victory over the Miami Hurricanes.

The Huskers will face No. 5 Dayton on Friday. If they win, they may have a chance at a rematch with Wisconsin.
