Crash on I-26 east, causing backups for miles

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – Multiple lane closures on I-26 eastbound are backing up traffic after a crash near the I-526 exit.

Video from the South Carolina Department of Transportation shows officials on scene working to reduce lane closures at the scene at mile marker 211.

Traffic disruptions are visible 10 miles from the accident site.

Drivers can expect delays as the effects of the accident are cleared.
