Roman Wilson, a player of the Pittsburgh Steelers, suffered another injury

The transition from college football to the NFL is never easy for many reasons. However, when you continue to get injured, the situation becomes even worse. Such is the case with debuting winger Roman Wilson.

Wilson suffered a sprained ankle in training camp, which kept him out of the preseason for the first five weeks of the NFL season. He returned in Week 6, played just five snaps, and was a healthy player the following week.

But that injury bug reared its ugly head once again. The Pittsburgh Steelers placed Wilson back on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. This means he will miss at least the next four games, putting his rookie season in doubt.

The Steelers selected Wilson in the third round of April’s NFL Draft, and he was expected to immediately play an important role in Pittsburgh’s offense after sending Diontae Johnson to Carolina. Instead, Wilson has struggled to get on the field, and like his Michigan quarterback JJ McCarthy, the 2025 season could be their next chance to get back on the field.
