Pittstown woman accused of stealing $10,000 from employer

A Pittstown woman has been arrested on suspicion of stealing more than $10,000 from the company where she worked. Tara Cottrell, 38, worked as an accountant at a company in Schaghticoke, state police said.

A Pittstown woman has been arrested on suspicion of stealing more than $10,000 from the company where she worked.

Tara Cottrell, 38, worked as an accountant at a company in Schaghticoke, state police said.

Investigators determined that during the summer and fall of 2023, Cottrell allegedly falsified documentation to conceal the theft.

Cottrell is scheduled to return to Schaghticoke Municipal Court on Jan. 6.
