Man shot and killed near Sheetz in central Pennsylvania.

A man is dead after a shooting on Christmas Eve at ul Sheetz in East Manchester TownshipYork County.

Officers were dispatched at 5:12 p.m. to a report of a shooting outside a convenience store According to York County Regional Police Department Chief Tim Damon, located on North George Street Extension.

Police discovered the victim – an identified man in his 20s – who had suffered at least one gunshot wound and could not be saved despite officers’ best resuscitation efforts, Damon said.

Investigators believe the victim was targeted by multiple assailants, Damon said, although he would not detail how police determined that or what connection the victim might have had to the shooter or shooters.

As far as we know, the suspects “don’t commit crimes randomly,” Damon said.

No arrests have been made yet.

Police believe the victim was alone at Sheetz, Damon said, but detectives are currently working on multiple witnesses.
