Highland Park Accident: Car crashes into Madame Zuzu’s tea shop, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan’s concert hall

HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. (WLS) — A car crashed into Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan’s tea shop on Wednesday afternoon, injuring his mother-in-law, his wife said in an Instagram post.

Chloe Mendel Corgan reported that a car struck Madame Zuzu’s home, located at 1876 First St, at approximately 1:30 p.m. in Highland Park.

She added that the car jumped the curb and hit the window.

She said Mendel Corgan’s mother, who was with the Corgan son, was injured.

The extent of her injuries was not immediately determined.

“Our family is grateful for the quick assistance of first responders from Highland Park and Deerfield,” said Mendel Corgan.

Madame Zuzu will be closed until further notice.

Mendel Corgan said the crash is under investigation.

The video shows a small car halfway to the business, with the windshield almost completely gone.
