A “hit list” containing the names of Cobb County high school students lands author in jail

COBB COUNTY, GA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation helped Cobb County police arrest a suspect accused of posting a “hit list” on social media containing the names of specific students from Walton and Pope high schools.

Cobb County police said they received multiple tips about the list.

It is unclear whether the suspect, who has not been named, was also a student.

“They cause anxiety among students and parents and cost a lot of staff and police time,” a district spokesman explained.
