Seven arrested in connection with the attack on pesantren students in the Yogyakarta Archipelago

Yogyakarta City Police have arrested seven men on suspicion of involvement in the attack on two high school students pesantren (Islamic boarding school) in Yogyakarta, October 23

The police alleged that before the attack, one of the suspects provoked and gave his partner alcoholic beverages, which turned out to be intentional – said the city police commander, Comr. As reported by Aditya Surya Dharma on Tuesday in Yogyakarta compass.id.

Two Pesantren Al-Munawwir students were attacked on the night of October 23 while eating from a street vendor near a cafe on Jl. Periodontitis.

Aditya explained that before the attack on the two students at the cafe late Tuesday night into early Wednesday, there was an incident that appeared to be related. People who were probably drunk took part in the commotion, as a result of which two people were injured and the interior of the cafe was damaged.

Two pesantren According to the police chief, the students were eating when they were suddenly attacked by the same group that caused the earlier disturbance.

Aditya said the victims were attacked with blunt objects, wooden boards, helmets and bare hands, while some perpetrators also used sharp weapons.
