BPL founder TPG Nambiar no longer exists

Family sources say the founder of Indian electronics company BPL Group, TP Gopalan Nambiar, died on Thursday. They reported that 94-year-old Nambiar was not feeling well for a long time and died in the morning.

“…he died at home around 10:15 am,” a family member told PTI.

Popularly known as TPG, he is the father-in-law of BJP leader and former Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

Mourning his death, former Prime Minister BS Yediyurappa said on X, “Saddened by the death of Shri TPG Nambiar, founder of the iconic brand BPL, who was a close friend for a long time. Shri Nambiar’s immense contribution and legacy will always be something I will remember. My sincerest condolences to his loved ones.”
