Liverpool ‘likely’ to make bid for Bournemouth star in 2025; Sources reveal the chances of a blockbuster transfer

Liverpool are interested in signing a new left-back and have identified Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez as a key target, sources have confirmed to TEAMtalk.

The Reds have made a great start to the season and are currently second in the Premier League table, just one point behind leaders Manchester City.

Arne Slot still wants reinforcements in several areas and wants more competition for Andy Robertson at left-back, who is currently 30 years old.

TEAMtalk understands that Bournemouth expects this to be Kerkez’s final season at the club. They expect offers for him next summer and potentially in January.

Liverpool are a huge fan of Kerkez and are one of the clubs “likely” to make an offer, with sources saying they are in a “good position” to sign the defender.

TEAMtalk’s sources also say that Kerkez is “ready” to join a top team like Liverpool, with his agents keen to secure a move for him within the next two transfer windows.

Manchester United are also a team to watch in the race for Kerkez as they look to bring in a new left-back to replace the injury-plagued duo of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

The Red Devils inquired about Kerkez’s transfer last summer, but Bournemouth stuck with a price tag of £40 million, so they ultimately cooled their interest.

Kerkez is widely regarded as one of the most promising young full-backs in the Premier League and will have a number of top clubs to choose from if he continues his current career.

However, Liverpool’s management is currently fully focused on tying Trent Alexander-Arnold to a new contract. The right-back’s current contract expires at the end of the season and Real Madrid insists on signing him on a free transfer.
