The victim of the fatal shooting in Sabina has been identified

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — On Sunday, a shooting took place in the Sabin district, resulting in the death of one man in a parked car.

On Sunday, October 27, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to the North Precinct responded to a call of shots fired in the 4500 block of Northeast 20th Avenue.

There were no suspects at the scene and no immediate arrests were made.

Portland Homicide responded to the scene. The victim was identified as 22-year-old Leno Batista-Guzman of Portland.

Batista-Guzman’s family was notified of his death and released a photo for public sharing. The medical examiner determined that his cause of death was homicide due to a gunshot wound.

The case remains under investigation and detectives are still seeking additional information.
