Jennifer Lopez Leaves Event After Asking About Diddy’s Allegations: Report

Fans of Jennifer Lopez wanting to get her autograph were reportedly disappointed last weekend when she reportedly ended her contract signing abruptly after someone in the crowd asked her about Sean “Diddy” Combs, her long-time ex-boyfriend, and the allegations against him human trafficking for sexual purposes.

Lopez attended a screening and Q&A for her new film “Unstoppable” at AFI Fest 2024 in Los Angeles, – reported “Mirror US”. The screening took place on Saturday, and the college sports drama was produced by Lopez’s estranged husband, Ben Affleck, and his production company along with Matt Damon.

However, during the Unstoppable autograph signing, Lopez was faced with an uncomfortable question about another famous ex, according to The Mirror. As the singer and actor tried to greet fans, someone in the crowd asked, “J. Lo, do you have any comments on P. Diddy and the allegations?”

According to The Mirror, Lopez immediately stopped signing autographs. She and her team began to move away from the crowd. People in the crowd shouted after her: “Don’t go,” but she headed for the door, “out of sight,” The Mirror said.

This uncomfortable moment comes as Lopez is going through a divorce from Affleck. Meanwhile, she continues to remain silent on the disturbing sexual assault allegations made against Combs, whom she dated from 1999 to 2001. The music mogul and founder of Bad Boy Records has been in federal custody since September and faces trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Combs has also faced more than 20 lawsuits filed by men and women who allege that he and his alleged accomplices sexually assaulted them while attending his infamous parties.

Since his arrest on September 16, Lopez has faced intense scrutiny over her relationship with Combs. The allegations in the lawsuit involve incidents that began in the 1990s and continued through 2022, with some allegedly occurring while Lopez and Combs were a celebrity couple.

Perhaps most uncomfortable for Lopez are the allegations made in a federal lawsuit filed last week. The 37-year-old woman claims that as a 13-year-old girl, she was sexually assaulted by Combs – with the help of an unnamed star and a man – at the mogul’s 2000 MTV Video Music Awards party. Although the lawsuit does not name Combs’ alleged celebrity associates, Lopez was Combs’ date at the 2000 VMAs and won the award for best dance video that September night.

Recently unearthed photos were published this week in the Daily Mail, allegedly showing Lopez and Combs at a star-studded afterparty after the 2000 VMAs. The awards ceremony took place on September 7, 2000 at Radio City Music Hall in New York, while the afterparty was held at the now-defunct Lotus nightclub.

According to the Daily Mail, the photos show Lopez and Combs in a heated confrontation, with Lopez appearing to shout at the rapper. A guest at the party told the Daily Mail that the dispute ended with Combs leaving the nightclub with his entourage and a group of women.

The alleged assault on a 13-year-old girl apparently occurred later that night at a home. The Daily Mail reports that the timing of the assault adds a “disturbing layer” to the evening’s events and raises questions about the dynamics of Lopez and Combs’ relationship in an era now overshadowed by serious allegations.

In 1999, Lopez became embroiled in another criminal dispute involving Combs. They were arrested in December this year as they fled a Manhattan nightclub after a shooting that injured three people. In 2001, Combs was put on trial for the shooting and Lopez testified, but Combs was acquitted by a jury.

Over the years, Lopez hasn’t spoken much about her relationship with Combs, though toward the end she described it as “tumultuous” and “emotionally draining.” She also said that they broke up “many times,” got back together, and then broke up again.

Lopez’s first husband, Ojani Noa, whom the megastar met and married as her career took off, has she recently accused Combs of breaking up their marriage in 1998, after 11 months.

In an interview with Univision, Noa, a Cuban immigrant who met Lopez while working as a waiter in Miami, said, “Some of that divorce was Diddy’s fault.”

“When Sony came and paid her the millions she got, Puffy (Combs) was there and he was supposed to be one of the producers of a few songs on (her) first album, ‘On The 6,’” Noa told the outlet, according to Page Six, Spanish. “This is where the deception, lies and separation began.”
