Steve Wazisomo Muliya and Success join forces to fight suicide cases – Malawi Nyasa Times

One of the country’s gospel musicians, Steve Wazisomo Muliya, has said that good and well-composed songs that convey a message of hope can help reduce the rising suicide rates.

Muliya was speaking yesterday after releasing his third song this year titled “Confidence” which featured Nehemiah Success Mazunda, commonly known as “Success” in music circles.
“I believe that music is a very important tool that can be used to deal with mental health issues. “Every day we hear that someone has committed suicide, it should tell us something that people are really going through a lot and I believe that well-composed songs (with Hope’s serious message) can ease the rush and heartbreak and give them hope,” he said.

Talking about the collaboration, the 2023 Gospel Artist of the Year winner said he is thinking about joining forces with Success as one of the leading figures in gospel music
“This song is an Afro song and Success is good at it, so I invited him to join us for a feast and he really did a great job. He was actually before me in music and I grew up admiring him when I was just in Praiseteam (choir)

Wazisomo, who is also a presenter and producer of Times TV and Radio, was praised by his fans for combining gospel music with an afro flavor right after the release of “Confidence”

“This is fire and what a heavy and serious message combined with a nice instrument,” commented one fan on the Akometsi Facebook page, where a fragment of the song “Snipert” was published.

Another person, via Uzimu’s website, commented: “Odi ndikaonere yonse, yandisagalatsa (let me watch the whole song on YouTube, it really made me feel better.”

Mr. Grace also added that he will also release another song in November this year.
