2024 Presidential Election Update: Kamala Harris and Donald Trump Continue Campaigning

Vice President Kamala Harris promised that “nothing in the world” will stop her from fighting on behalf of the American people during a Tuesday speech in Reno, Nevada.

She referred to her time as a prosecutor in the neighboring state of California, saying, “A lot of people here know that I’m not afraid of tough fights.”

“And I promise you that if you give me the chance to fight on your behalf as president, nothing in the world will stop me from fighting for you,” Harris added. “For the people.”

During her first campaign rally in northern Nevada, she also criticized former President Donald Trump’s statements about protecting women.

“He said that on the issue of freedom of choice and reproductive freedom, he said he would do whatever he wanted because, and I quote, he – this is his point of view – would do it ‘whether women like it or not,’ “Regardless of whether women like it or not,” Harris said. “Can you imagine?”

“She doesn’t believe that women should have power or freedom over their own bodies. This is the same person who said women should be punished for their choices,” she said, echoing comments she has made throughout the day at campaign stops. “This is someone who simply has no respect for women’s freedom or the intelligence of women to make decisions about their own lives.”

She ended the rally with a statement she had been making for several days, telling the crowd that “in less than 90 days he or I will be sitting in the Oval Office,” explaining that while Trump walks into that room with a list of enemies, she is ready to walk in with a list of things to do. to do.

Although Harris’ remarks were interrupted several times by protesters, she addressed them, saying, “We are here because we are fighting for democracy.”
