A Forbes analysis of political donations by the Palm Beach Daily News shows that at least six billionaires with residential ties to the island support their neighbor Trump’s candidacy as the Republican nominee for the White House.

Harris, a Democrat, has gained the support of at least four other billionaires who have homes in Palm Beach.

According to Forbes, the Palm Beach names are among at least 83 billionaires nationwide who support Harris, compared with 52 U.S. billionaires who have supported Trump.

“Many more billionaires may continue to financially support a candidate, but information about their donations will not be released until after the election, when the final reports from the Federal Election Commission are released in December,” Forbes reported Oct. 30 in an article it has updated frequently to reflect changing news regarding support for candidates.

IN August article on filing for FEC contributionsForbes noted that “President Joe Biden’s fundraising apparatus and all the money he raised switched to Harris shortly after the president withdrew (from the presidential race) on July 21, meaning his donors became her donors “.

Daily news from Palm Beach identified 65 billionaires with strong residential or family ties to the island, which in April was included in Forbes magazine’s list of the 2,781 richest people in the world in 2024, each of whom is worth at least $1 billion.
