A white Washington woman who initially claimed a teenager attacked her is now on the wrong side of the law.

On October 25, Jennifer Vincent called authorities and told them that she said a teenager from Pioneer Park in Tumwater, Washington, had pushed her. KING 5 News. However, when the officer arrived on the scene, he immediately spoke to a group of teenagers who had witnessed the alleged incident, and their story could not have been more different from the one Vincent initially told.

More from KING 5 News:

When the officer arrived, he contacted a group of teenagers who told police that Vincent was walking through the park “shouting racist and derogatory statements at him and other Latinos.” The teenager Vincent described in the police call told officers that Vincent first went to a family taking quinceañera photos of their young daughter and “told them to go back to their country,” according to court documents.

The same teen said Vincent eventually approached the group he was with and reacted harshly, “told him to go back to where he came from because he wasn’t allowed to be in this country,” court documents say. The teen told police Vincent then pushed him and he responded by pushing her away from him, he told police.

After speaking with other witnesses who shared a similar story to the teenager’s, officers believed they had probable cause to arrest the woman for harassing and assaulting a 14-year-old boy.

According to a report by KING 5 News, Vincent tried to resist the officers arresting her and even tried to pinch one of them on the leg. She also sought medical attention, although upon arrival she was seen walking normally.

Earlier this week, she was formally charged with malicious harassment, assault and resisting arrest. The harassment charge included, among others: hate crime designation. Vincent’s next court appearance will be on November 25.
