The FBI raids the home of Pastor John-Paul Miller following the suicide of his wife, Mika Miller

The FBI raided the home of John-Paul Miller, pastor of Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, on Friday, about six months after he announced the suicide of his wife, Mika Miller, during a sermon.

According to WBTW News13, no official connection has been established between the raid and Mika’s death. Federal agents, however, said they were “conducting court-authorized law enforcement activities” at the pastor’s residence.

Neighbors reported that agents were executing a search warrant and Miller was apparently absent at the time. Photos showed multiple FBI trucks outside the home as evidence response team agents collected items.

Mica Miller, who died in April from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at Lumber River State Park in South Carolina, was captured on surveillance video purchasing a firearm shortly before her death. Allegations of abuse and infidelity against Miller came to light after he revealed his wife’s death at Market Common Church.

According to DailyMail.com, interest in Solid Rock Ministries has increased, especially after church leaders allowed Miller to return to the pulpit amid allegations of inappropriate behavior by underage girls.

DailyMail.com also reported further financial controversy, with Mika’s sister Sierra filing legal claims alleging Miller and Solid Rock conspired to deprive Mika of her fair share of the marital estate.

In December 2023, Miller reportedly sold their marital home in Horry County to Solid Rock Ministries for $169,331.31 – significantly less than the appraised value of $240,000 – two months after Mica filed for divorce, seeking equal division of property.

Solid Rock Ministries, which was granted tax-exempt status in 2015, currently owns the property. As the investigation continues, attention shifts to Miller’s activities as well as Solid Rock Ministries’ real estate ownership and operations.
