The Miami Dolphins defense will be weak against Buffalo

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel provided an update on the team’s injured linebackers during their Week 9 game against the Buffalo Bills, and none of them were good.

McDaniel indicated that Zach Sieler, Jevon Holland and Kader Kohou will likely be ruled out when the final injury report is released on Friday.

Sieler is dealing with an eye injury from being poked in training two Thursdays ago. The good news is that the injury, which NFL Network reported was to the orbital bone, did not require surgery, but McDaniel indicated that the concern is making sure Sieler doesn’t take undue risk of aggravating the injury.

“I mean, if it was just about results, I think he probably would have gotten out there anyway,” McDaniel said.

While playing for the NL, he suffered a knee injury in the first half of a 28-27 loss to the Arizona Cardinals and did not return to the field.

The injury occurred in Holland’s first game since breaking a bone in his left hand during the Dolphins’ Week 5 win against the New England Patriots a week before the bye.

Kohou missed the game against the Cardinals with a neck injury he suffered in Week 7’s 16-10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

If there was any good news regarding the injury updates, it involved offensive starters Tyreek Hill and Alec Ingold.

McDaniel said Hill’s limitations in Thursday’s practice were the result of treatment for a foot injury he suffered in practice last week.

In Ingold’s case, McDaniel said he received treatment for his calf after it became a serious problem the previous day. McDaniel, however, said he is optimistic that Ingold will play against Buffalo.

However, the Dolphins won’t have to deal with Julian Hill, who will miss the game with a shoulder injury.

McDaniel also said he doesn’t anticipate winger River Cracraft being activated this week off injured reserve after returning to practice Wednesday for the first time since the preseason.
