A pedestrian died in a collision with the MAX line

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A pedestrian died after being struck by the MAX line, Portland Fire & Rescue reported.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., PF&R was called to the interstate near North Church Avenue for reports of a MAX collision with a person.

The report shows that the pedestrian did not survive the incident.

Traffic delays and maximum line service interruptions are expected.

After arriving at the scene, the services learned that a person had died in the accident.

According to TriMet, the accident is disrupting the MAX Orange and Yellow lines. Buses serve stops between north Prescott Street and north Lombard Transit Center.
