Halloween shooting: 16-year-old girl injured in Rowlett

Rowlett Police are investigating after a 16-year-old girl was shot on Halloween night.

Rowlett police were called to an area near Waterview Parkway where a large group of people were fighting.

A 16-year-old woman was shot during the fight.

She was taken to hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers who arrived at the scene detained a 17-year-old man and a minor in connection with illegal possession of weapons.

Police are calling the shooting an isolated incident.
