‘I could save £1,000 a month abroad’

“We would save around £1,000-1,400 a month if we lived 10 miles away in England,” says mother-of-three Emily Broughton.

Emily (36) from Monmouthshire says she and her husband are considering moving to England to help with the costs of caring for their three-year-old and newborn twins.

She feels she has been “left out in the cold” by the support of the Welsh Government compared to the UK Government.

However, the Welsh Government said it invests more than £100 million each year in the care of children aged two and over.
