The police determined that 70-year-old John Waldron from Sibley died in the crash.

Officials say a preliminary investigation revealed a 2013 Ford pickup truck driven by Waldron was traveling north on Dorcheat Road. For reasons that remain under investigation, Waldron’s vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree.

Waldron, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Although no damage is suspected, routine toxicology samples have been collected and will be submitted for analysis.

The investigation into this crash is still ongoing.
