JACKSONVILLE, FL. – A student was arrested Thursday after a “serious” fight that broke out at the end of a high school football game.

Duval County Public Schools said they are investigating a fight that broke out at the Andrew Jackson and First Coast High School football game.

The school district told News4JAX that student-athletes were involved.

A student who did not attend Andrew Jackson or First Coast was arrested. DCPS did not say what the student was arrested for or what led to the fight.

“We have higher expectations for our students, especially student-athletes, and appropriate discipline is being implemented at school,” a DCPS spokesman said in a statement.

Duval County School Police and DCPS are investigating.
