Pitt County Schools names a new principal

PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – One East Carolina County school district will name a new superintendent early next week.

The Pitt County Board of Education says it will name the district’s new superintendent at its board meeting on Monday at 5 p.m.

– WITN reported On May 6, Dr. Steve Lassiter will take over as interim superintendent following the retirement of former Superintendent Dr. Ethan Lenker.

It is unclear whether Dr. Lassiter will be the new director.
