FOX 5 was on scene as Atlanta Police Patrol officers attempted to make contact with the residents of the home on Briar Ridge Way. Officers confirmed their response was related to a wandering child, but did not comment further.

The search finally ended around 1 p.m. on Friday after the family was found.

Police did not explain what led the child to wander the street or say whether any charges would be filed. They would only say that the investigation is still active.
