An Elko man died in a crash on I-80 near Wells

WELLS, Nev. (KOLO) – An Elko man died Oct. 19 in a crash on Interstate 80 about 30 miles east of Wells, Nevada State Police said Friday.

Clarence Faulkner, 75, was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and died, NSP reported.

Police officers responded to the accident on October 19 around 6 p.m. NSP reported that a Toyota Tundra was traveling west on Interstate 80 when the driver allowed it to go off the road and into the median. Faulkner turned too far to the right and the truck crossed the highway westbound, turning clockwise. It then left the highway and hit the dirt shoulder on the north side of I-80 before rolling, according to NSP.

Faulkner was pronounced dead at the scene.
